Conventions vs. Graduations |

After cleaning off the 1-inch layer of dust covering the news section, I’m finally returning to doing the usual blog updates! First off, we have some more awesome guest-art from the crazy talented Nut-Case! So be sure to check it out, as it will give you the warm fuzzies all around. Next, I want to thank everyone who came to Anime Boston and immediately stop by the Artist Ally to find us this year again. Especially the folks that came by our empty table multiple times when we weren’t even there on Friday and Saturday. I appreciate the devoted fans we have that made the effort, I wish things didn’t turn out the way they did! ^^;
We indeed had an Artist Ally table, and we made reservations way back in the beginning of the year. Unfortunately my college scheduled graduation that same Saturday as the convention and announced it in April ^^; . Even though I had already gotten my B.A degree back in December, they had canceled the winter commencement ceremony and decided to have both semesters in May (Saves them money, or so they say). We ended up leaving the convention Friday night, attending graduation, and driving back to Boston that same day Saturday. It wasn’t worth setting up our tables late in the day for both Friday and Saturday, not to mention Ramune was dead tired from all the driving back and forth.
So Sunday basically ended up being our only day at the Artist Ally. For the most part, we still had a good turn out. I have to say I’m still surprised at the number of folks who remembered us from previous visits to the con or other cons and brought a few buttons; it still made the whole trip worth it. It’s starting to become a tradition for all our pilgrimages to Anime Boston to have something crazy happen to us. With the Next Anime Boston taking place in April, I expect things to go much smoother considering it’s in a month of year where things are generally not as hectic as in May. But as I’ve learned from trekking the convention circuit in the past, nothing ever goes exactly as planned no matter how much you plan ahead.
Speaking of conventions, we still have two more for this year. Our hometown one Connecticon and for our second year, Anime Weekend Atlanta! I’ve posted the dates for both of them in their own section on the left column. If anything does come up to prevent us from attending this year, we will tell you about it and post an update in that section as well. We’ll be sure to have a much more wider variety of merchandise for those two cons then what we had for Anime Boston (Heck, for any convention we’ve had up to this point.) I’ll leave what we have in store for goods we’ll be selling on our site and conventions for later since I’m already going long on this entry as it is! Thanks for reading, see you! |

Back from AWA and
I'm doing the whole back at work thing. But coming
home left me pretty tired. So this had to wait
till Saturday, now into Sunday. I apoligize, everyone,
for being so late with this. m(_ _)m <---bowing
down
But I want to say thanks to everyone
new and old who stopped by our tables
at Connecticon and AWA. There were also a few who
found us at Anime Boston and Otakon and that was
beyond cool! We're really didn't expect so many
people, but I'm happy to hear KK strikes a chord
with you! Oh and today marks the 4th
Anniversary of Kitsune
Kiki.com! A lot can be said about doing this for
four years (besides still being on Chapter 2 *eek!*),
but we stuck to it for this long, so their's no
going back now!
For the new
people, your probably
wondering when we usually update. We try to shoot
for Thursdays, but I know we can't always make
it, so the comic usually hits every week. In
this case, we didn't make it this Thursday, but
as we speak, my bro's finishing up Page 54 (he
got out of work early today and he's been at it
all day! @_@ )
We also have some other fine comics
and people we met during our convention season
this year. I meant to post them after the end
of the last 3 conventions, but things come up.
So needless to say, it's going to be a massive
list! So bare with me on this, and sorry for
being late on many of these! >_<;
Ok first we have the people we
met at Anime Boston, Connecticon &
Otakon (since they're mixed
up together; disorganization on my part *sorry
^_^;; *)
The
System by Rosscott (check it
out, very original!), our next table neighbors Blue
and Blond and Hookie
Dookie Panic, Magical
Princess Anya, Allison
Henderson, James
Monty-Carbonari, Dragon
Enclave Studios, abordedCREATIVITY,
Sid
Narged, Bear
Roll Studios, Owl's
Mirror Studio, A
Boy And His Robot, Loong
Schin Hern, Upon.
Then we have the people we met
at Anime Weekend
Atlanta.
The always awesome Danny
Valentini who does The
Draconia Chronicles (which passed
the 100 page mark by now!), Oyasumi
Yumiko from MiddayDreamer
Studio, Kitsune Rei of
the site "A
Fox's Dream", Camilla
d'Erric, Geeks
Next Door, Star
Soup Productions, Noelle
Griffin, Jen
Keith, Wayah,
Barbara Chapman who does The
World of Pumpernickel, JMKoontz
Studios, Dan
Howard, 4Deep
Studio, Kouotsu, Emily
"Inky" Wynn, Ashley
Schoeller, Giraf
Network, Apple
Dainty, Mike
Mazguy and
lastly Nicholas
Welmaker who I happened to just
comment on his outfit; he didn't have a table,
but he did bring his art, which just oes to show,
talent can pop up unexpectingly anywhere!
